Collected data and forms of collection

Rent IT Luz collects data of different forms, such us when the client subscribes to our newsletter, on completing the cart, when adding products to the cart, entering personal data, cart abandonment, checkout, when a service or a product is booked and when contacting our customer support.

Whilst completing these actions, we may ask for information like such as your name, address/invoice address, date of birth, county, city, state, country, email address, phone number, identification number and fiscal number.

For direct marketing purpose, we may ask the gender and date of birth of your children.

Please consider that you are never obliged to provide your personal data, although if you decide not to, we cannot provide our products and services, and we are not able to proceed with the order process.

Rent IT Luz will keep your data only during the period necessary within the scope of the purpose for which they were collected.

 

Authorization

When you provide your personal data to complete a transaction, to verify a payment card, make a request, agree the delivery and pickup, Rent IT Luz requests your authorisation, for that data to be used only for that specific reason.

If we ask for personal data for other reasons, such us marketing, Rent IT Luz will ask for authorisation from the client, with the option to refuse, however you will then miss out on any promotional deals or new products being launched.

You will be informed of who will have access to your information, the reason why we need the information and for how long we are going to keep that information.

Billing and payments

We reserve the right to change products and product pricing at any time. We also reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the email and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made.

 

Security

We adhere to all the necessary measures to ensure the protection of personal data provided to our company, so that this data is not disseminated, lost, misused, changed, processed or accessed on a non-authorised way or unlawfully processed.

The selection protocols and payment method, as well as the insertion of data regarding the payment process of your orders are properly protected, and all the information is encrypted and managed with advanced security tools. We use Stripe for processing payments who are certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1 status.
